Other names being thrown around for Eclipse director
E! Online reports that Drew Barrymore isn’t the only name being thrown around for director of Eclipse. Juan Antonio Bayona, director of The Orphanage, James Mangold of Walk the Line, and Paul Weitz, Chris Weitz’s brother, are reported to all be options to take on the Eclipse director duties.

Drew Barrymore & Eclipse: Match made in heaven?
EW is reporting that Drew Barrymore may be on the rumored list of possible directors for Eclipse. Drew Barrymore directs you ask? Why yes…She just finished directing her first movie, Whip It!.
As you all know, Eclipse will not be directed by Chris Weitz due to the production schedule for New Moon and the closely followed release date of Eclipse.

Eclipse release date announced, Chris Weitz won’t direct
Pattison Online, a great source for everything Robert Pattinson, is reporting that the release date for the Eclipse film will be June 30, 2010. That is only seven short months after the New Moon release.
They also say that EW is reporting that Chris Weitz will not be directing Eclipse as he will most likely be in post-production for New Moon when Eclipse is being filmed. That means a new director.
