August 27, 2009
I just received the following announcement from Atlantic Records (the record label that produced the Twilight Soundtrack):
The first single has officially been confirmed for the New Moon Soundtrack! Death Cab for Cutie has written an exclusive song for the movie entitled ‘Meet Me On the Equinox.’ Below is a statement from the band about the song:
“We are very excited to be a part of this amazing series of novels set in our own backyard. It just seemed a perfect synergy that a band from the Northwest would create a song for a series of novels set in the Northwest. We wrote ‘Meet Me On the Equinox’ to reflect the celestial themes and motifs that run throughout the Twilight series and we wanted to capture that desperate feeling of endings and beginnings that so strongly affect the main characters. This song marks the first attempt that Death Cab for Cutie has ever made at contributing new, unreleased material for a film and we are proud to be a part of the Twilight legacy.” — Nick Harmer / Death Cab for Cutie
Additionally, we have the exclusive premiere of the soundtrack album cover below! The soundtrack will be in stores on October 20th, 2009, stay tuned for more information!
You can pre-order the New Moon Soundtrack now, and we will be posting more artist information as it becomes available. And, if you need some ideas for things to purchase to qualify for free shipping (over $25), I would suggest the Breaking Dawn Special Edition and the Eclipse paperback, which both went on-sale this month.Have a great day!

Fierce
Little Dakota Fanning is looking really fierce as the Volturi’s Jane, in this exclusive first look at some stills from New Moon from People Magazine. Look at poor Edward in the back looking all sad — poor guy.
Check out the People Magazine article here for more exclusive looks at the other Volturi members

Comic-Con New Moon panel and Twilight Experience
So I was lucky enough to be able to attend Comic-Con this year and sit in on the New Moon panel and the Twilight Experience movie screening at San Diego’s Gaslamp Stadium. It was everything I expected and more.
At the Comic-Con panel, Rob, Kristen, Taylor, Ashley, and Director of New Moon, Chris Weitz were there to answer fan questions, give us some insight into their new project, and also share two new clips from the much anticipated film.
The first clip was the scene where Jacob is teaching Bella how to ride a motorcycle. She finds that when she does this, she sees (instead of hears) Edward. As we all know, she gets hurt and starts to bleed. So in the film, Jacob takes off his shirt so he can use it to stop her bleeding. Many fans commenced their screaming at this point.
The second clip — my favorite — was the scene where Bella is running to stop Edward from revealing his sparkling skin in Italy. Scenes involving the yellow Porsche, Bella running through the water fountain, and Edward removing his shirt were all part of this clip package. AMAZING stuff. It looks like this film is going to be great.
The Twilight Experience movie screening was also awesome. As we entered the theater we were given free Lip Venom V lip gloss and Twilight candy. We also got a peek of Twilight character dolls and Twilight themed paper plates, greeting cards, and much more.
As far as the film screening went, it seems the cast split up to do introductions in the various auditoriums in the building as I heard Rob was there, yet he didn’t come to the auditorium I was in. Taylor, Peter Facinelli, Elizabeth Reaser, Kiowa Gordan (Embry Call), Jamie Campbell Bower (Caius), and Noot Sear (Heidi) visited our auditorium. They did a quick Q&A and then Twilight was played. As we exited the theater we were given a free autographed New Moon poster. They didn’t really tell us who signed which poster (as it seems there was only one autograph per poster) so I am not sure who signed the one I received.
All in all it was a wonderful day filled with Twilight excitement. If you want to check out more non-related Comic-Con photos check out Jegan Chen’s blog.

MTV.com at Comic-Con
Check out some footage from MTV.com with Rob, Kristen, and Taylor at Comic-Con below. I think this may have been from the press conference because it wasn’t from the New Moon Panel.
